Federal Firearm Rights Restoration

Federal Firearm Rights Restoration

Federal law prohibits certain individuals from possessing firearms or ammunition because of a prior conviction or other federal firearm disability. For many years, individuals subject to these restrictions had no practical way to apply for restoration of their federal firearm rights.

The U.S. Department of Justice has now established a Federal Firearm Rights Restoration Program under 18 U.S.C. § 925(c). This program provides a process for eligible individuals to apply to the Attorney General to have their federal firearm rights restored.

Netzer Krautter Law Firm, P.C. represents individuals seeking relief through this federal process. Our attorneys can help evaluate your circumstances, identify potential issues that may affect your application, gather and review necessary records, and assist with preparing your application for submission.

If you are prohibited from possessing a firearm under federal law and are interested in seeking restoration of your rights, complete our Federal Firearm Rights Restoration Case Evaluation Questionnaire to find out whether our firm may be able to assist you.
